¶ Squad Arena Rulebook and Definitions
Squad Arena is an official tournament hosted by Offworld Industries, delivering intense infantry-only action on custom-made maps with a specially developed mod. A total of 16 teams, each with up to 16 players, will compete across three days, starting on June 27. With no vehicles involved, the focus is entirely on coordinated infantry gameplay. Squad Arena is a compact, high-energy tournament format that takes Squad’s tactical depth to the next level.
This is a fun-scoped event to celebrate together with the community.
Feel free to take this as competitively as you wish while respecting its open nature.

This is a fun-scoped event to celebrate together with the community.

- All servers are required to have EAC-on when matches are being played.
- Game-banned players are not allowed to participate, even on alt accounts.
- Tournaments are to adopt a friendly, sportsman-like, and fair environment for players.
Players who cheat will be removed from the tournament and banned from the game.
Any given player can only play for one team during all the events.
Teams have until one hour before the event starts to lock up their full 20-member roster.
- Brackets are Randomly Shuffled.
- As there were 35 signed-up teams, our approach is based on a first-come come first-served serve were picked to participate.Anyone who applied later on is listed as a reserve and will be notified should anyone drop out.
Take special attention to the differences between MATCH and ROUND.
¶ MATCHES AND ROUNDS
- Each match consists of a BO3 encounter between two teams.
- There will be a minimum of two rounds to a maximum of three rounds in case of a tie.
- Each round will have a first minute (1:00) of a staging phase and then up to five minutes (2.30) of regular gameplay.
- At the three-and-a-half-minute mark (3:30), a single random capture zone will be unlocked in the middle of the map.
- Any surviving players after the six-minute mark (6:00) will face incremental waves of bots until everyone dies.
- The team with the last man standing, or that captures the map objective, will be considered the round winner
- This is a custom game mode that allows various rounds to happen within the same game.
NOTICE: After the placeholder layer, all rounds are played continuously without any further layer rolling or ending screen between rounds.

¶ MATCH TIME AND LATE ARRIVALS
- A text channel on our Tournament discord will be used with offered time slots for the team representatives to agree on. Team Reps will be given 24 hours to organise an appropriate time for their match. Once this is agreed upon, a server, referee, and caster will be assigned.
- Teams must be on the server and ready to play 10 minutes before the start time.
- There will be a maximum of two minutes’ grace period (2:00 from match start time onwards) for teams to bring every valid playing member into the server.
- Players will be welcomed by a RAAS warmup layer to spend time while waiting.
- If both teams are ready before those 5 minutes, the referee will roll the layer into the gameplay layer twice before announcing LIVE MATCH.
- Regardless of any team member missing, at the 2-minute mark, the map will be rolled and announced LIVE MATCH.
- Teams must play each match (up to three rounds) with the same players they had at the first LIVE MATCH announcement mark.
- Any late arrival or switch between rounds will result in a kick.
- Mid-game drops of already playing members are governed by the 2.3 ruleset.
- Less than ten members at the 5-minute mark becomes an automatic loss for the late team.
- The staff reserves the right to modify the bracket structure in case two matching teams fail to meet this criterion.
- When a player disconnects or leaves midway through the match, they must reconnect as soon as possible with the same account.
- The referee must change their team after someone is disconnected to balance the players. This way, the reconnecting player will be automatically balanced to his side, without any chance of spying.
¶ FORBIDDEN PROGRAMS AND CONFIGURATION MODIFICATION
This includes, but is not limited to: .ini file edits, NVIDIA Inspector, NVIDIA Filters, “GamePP” filters, ESPs, wallhacks, aimbots, macros, crosshairs, or any similar tools or techniques.
The only exceptions to this rule are operating system–level accessibility tools that are pre-installed with Windows (e.g., color calibration, colorblind modes) or their direct equivalents on other platforms. Any external software or configuration not explicitly approved will be treated as a violation of this policy.
Squad Arena will have three available servers in the following locations:
- London [Gamerzhost]
- NA Central [PSG]
- NA East [Bluefang]
The best available option for both teams will be selected.
- A server is considered crashed when the instance completely crashes or the server empties over 50% of players unexpectedly.
- If a given round has been going on for less than 2 minutes, it will be restarted from scratch as soon as possible.
- If a given round has been going on for more than 2 minutes, the staff and team captains will immediately decide the game.
- In any given case, only the current round will be reset or forfeited.
- Any previously completed rounds keep their results valid.
- Both teams are encouraged to find match times that fit them both within the timeframe given
- If no agreement is reached, tournament staff reserves the right to impose a match time that will be appropriate for both teams.
